 | Our Godchildren One of my best friends, Carolyn Hushbeck, decided to adopt a While adopting a child is never an easy process, girls from China are easier than boys. Many times these children are abandoned due to the limits that the Chinese government has placed on the number of children a family can have. As a result, girls are frequently abandoned in hopes that they parents can have a son.
It was a long birthing process, as an international adoption has to clear many hurdles. There is much paperwork, investigations (studies are what they are called), more paperwork, and then to top it all off, more paperwork.
