| In the fall of 2005 I purchased a Canon Rebel XT camera. This was a big change for me as for years I had always owned Nikon cameras and had slowly been upgrading with the idea that I wanted a digital SLR camera. Well, with the Rebel XT, I finally made it! I made the change from Nikon to Canon after having talked with a number of professionals and having seen several in our home to take pictures of our Christmas trees, I decided that I would get the Canon brand as well. I am so glad that I did, as it has been one of the best purchases that I have ever made in the photography area! This section will always be evolving as I expand my skills and what I happen to take pictures of will be updated here. As of Christmas 2006 I have been letting the camera do most of the decision making on exposures, but now I am starting to take control as I learn more about the camera. I will attempt to provide as much information on the settings for each picture as I upload images to the following pages. Check back often for the new images! Please take the time to view each category as each has special rewards for the eye. As I pursue this hobby I will make every effort to capture as much technical information about each picture as possible.
