Rob's Tree 2004

 

This is Rob's tree which takes the opposite corner from our SW tree.  The train around the base of the tree is his from when he was growing up as a child.  This is the first year that it was not actually running during our open house.

Rob collects trains, balloons, and AIDS ornaments.  On his tree he has ornaments that he had originally made for his family tree has he was a child.  Given the variety of ornaments that he collects, he has ornaments from Radko, Breen, Hallmark and others on his tree.  This year he used the Victor finial on his tree.

 

This image shows the original and variation of the AIDS ornament On Wings Of Hope.  The variation is pictured on the left.This is an unusual ornament that Rob found on eBay.  We expected it to be much larger than it was, but it is still a very nice piece.This is a grouping of the first AIDS piece and the original piece that it came from in the Radko line.

Rob is very eclectic in his collecting.  While he collects trains, balloons and AIDS ornaments, he also has many ornaments from his childhood and others on his tree as I have explained above.

Normally in our tour we would stop at the bear tree next, but since we started there, we will go to the animal tree next.
